VINTAGE Solid Silver PEDESTAL TROPHY CUP 1927 Hallmarked London Sterling NR Excellent Condition - Stunning Design - 1+ troy oz. This is a really stunning VINTAGE solid sterling silver SMALL trophy cup that was made in London, England in 1927 by the illustrious silversmith, Henry Hodson Plante at his Regent Street workshops. It is round in shape with half reeded sides and is raised on a superb stepped pedestal base. It is engraved Memento of Pearson Challenge Cup and Ranelagh 1929. It measures 2 1/8" in diameter and stands 1 1/2" tall. It is quite substantial - it weighs 32.2 grams - which is over 1 troy oz. It is in very good condition for its age with less than the usual surface scratching and NO dings or dents, NO distortion and, unusually, NO compression to the base and NO splits or repairs - A SUPERB PIECE. This beautiful piece is hallmarked with H.H.P, lion passant (sterling silver assay mark), leopard head, m showing that it was hallmarked in London in 1927.
