Up for bid is a Vintage Sony TC-788-4 Quad tape deck in prestine condition, The deck is in excellent cosmetic condition,Recently Lubed, plays 7" and 10" reels @ 15 and 71/2 ips, Duel Capstans, Heads are in great shape barely used, Record, VU meters, lights all in good working condition. Buttons, knobs and toggle switches are working and static free.The only flaw is the fast fwd and Rew brakes need to be fixed. Not a major fix, the material on the brake bands need to be replaced. I used my hands to stop the the reels. Record, Play and Pause are working fine . With the deck comes the HUBs, Original Manual, Orig 10" plastic take up reel, one 7" orig demo tape and the cord. This deck is from 1978 pro deck and is being sold as is. Overall who ever wins this deck is going to have an excellent sounding deck for years to come. TLC has to be taken in consideration.
