Up for auction is a rare set, a 1966 Vintage Gi Joe SOTW Russian Infantryman set complete except for the medal in Mint/NMint condition! :) As for this Joe set, it is a really, really nice set. And I am very sad to see him go. This was one of my keepers, but as I dwindle down my Gi Joe collection it's time for someone else to enjoy him as much as I have. The Joe himself is an Circle (R) Patent pending brown haired foreign faced Joe. He has no hair or eyebrow rubs. He is very tight and easily stands on his own. The top and bottoms on the Joe are mint with no tears, snags, holes, rips, or stains. The top is tagged Gi Joe Hong Kong and matches perfectly with the bottoms. The elastic stirrups on the pants are still tight and not stretched out. The Jack boots are the correct Gi Joe version, and not the flat bottom action man ones. The grenades have the rings. The rifle has the bi-pod and drum, and looks great. The binocular case still has the binoculars. I would say this whole set is very, very nice. All in all this set would be very hard to upgrade. If not impossible, unless you found one that is still new in the box. If you have been waiting for Russian Infantryman to put on display, this is the one to have.
