Vintage Toby/Character Jug - Wedgwood Unicorn - Innkeeper Here we have for auction a vintage, collectable Toby Jug made by Wedgwood and marked with their Unicorn mark, no 762/3 and Handpainted. The character is a Victorian Innkeeper, holding 2 overflowing mugs of beer, seated on a wooden barrel and wearing a tricorn hat, buckled shoes and a tailcoat, along with his apron. He is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks or damage, and stands 5 inches tall and beautifully handpainted, with all the colours crisp, sharp and unfaded. We are unsure of his age, though the style of impressed mark and use of 'England' rather than 'Made in England' suggests a date pre 1920.
