This is a Vintage Antique Staghorn handled German Knife" or Dagger, Dirk, letter opener, boot knife... You tell me. Not sure of exact age but Very possibly from the 1950'S early Post WW2 era. The thickly backstraped blade is Stamped W. Clauberg est. 1810 , Solingen Germany and the number 7001 is deep stamped on the other side of the blade. (PiG logo), A little worn but not too bad. SEE PICS, and also marked Solingen Germany. These were 7001 series are the larger ones and probably made for the serious hunter, skinner in mind. Looks like the 1950s but I don't know, and Makes me think it might be Black Forest or Boheimian made. The sheath looks like it is homemade and has the previous owner's name on it. Works well for this knife.. The blade of this knife looks lightly s harpened with just light sheath scratching. Doesn't look like it was used much. Still has lots of factory finish left. Nickel silver ferrel and butt cap. Jadgmesser. KNIFE is a little over 8" long, The Fantastic Stag Horn Handles have a beautiful puma style patina.
