LOOK!! Vintage STAMPED ICRR RAILROAD Fuel Oil CAN SOLDERED ILLINOIS CENTRAL RAILROAD!! NO RESERVE!!!! PLEASE NOTE MY TERMS BELOW. THEY APPLY TO ALL SALES AND YOU AGREE TO THESE TERMS BY BIDDING. THANKS! Up for Bids is a Vintage RAILROAD Galvanized Fuel Oil CAN Stamped "ICRR" ILLINOIS CENTRAL RAILROAD that I picked up at a local estate sale. This is an nice old ICRR Lidded Galvanized Tin Can that I assume was used to hold fuel oil (kerosene) and because of the small spout, may have been used to fill lanterns and safety lights for the railroad. It has a hinged lid and a wire carry handle with a nice, built in hand-hold to help hold it steady while pouring. It has some corrosion at the top of the neck as you can see in my photos and some light corrosion on the inside bottom but as you can see from my photo of the bottom of the Can, the bottom is still intact and can probably still be used. It has some dings and dents from use and handling and it did not come with a stopper so none is included. The Can stands approximately 10" tall with a middle diameter of approximately 6-1/2" wide. I don't see a maker's mark on the bottom. A nice old, ICCR Collectible piece !! This Lot is sold "As Described". Please don't be confused by my low minimum and no reserve requirement. It is not an indication of low value or poor quality condition. See read more
