Up for auction is an old vintage STANLEY 16 Inch No. 150 HAND MITER BOX.This box is made out of cast iron and is in very good vintage condition. The saw handle has some paint spots and some of the original finish has been rubbed off with use, but it is still sturdy and has a comfortable grip. The saw blade itself is still very sharp, and the slides the blade rests in are in excellent shape. The saw measures about 26" long at its longest point. The saw blade measures about 5" wide. The miter box base is bolted to a piece of wood that measures about 18" long and 10-7/8" wide.Another piece of wood underneath raises the back side an additional 5/8". One could bolt the miter box to a bench or other work surface if desired.Any piece of wood can be used as the base between the saw blade and the miter box base. The entire assembly measures about 12" tall with the present board underneath. On the top of the box is the following: "[STANLEY No. 150] - MADE IN U.S.A."T are numbers printed in an arc that indicate the angle at which the saw is cutting: 45, 30, 22-1/2, 0, 22-1/2, 30, 45.The pivoting mechanism to change the cutting angle of the saw works well.
