Vintage Stanley Rule & Level Co. No 29 Fore Plane RARE

You are bidding on a beautiful, antique Stanley Rule & Level Co., No 29, Transitional Fore Plane that I believe to have been manufactured shortly after the turn of the century. This is a massive piece weighing over 5 1/2 pounds. The imprint on the front of this plane is "STANLEY RULE & LEVEL CO No 29." It measures 20" long and 3" wide with a 2 3/8" blade. The blade is marked, "STANLEY PAT. APL. 19. 92." The chipper is marked, "L. BAILEY PATENT DEC. 24. 1867." The lever is marked, "STANLEY PAT 2.8.76." This plane is in excellent shape with a beautiful finish. The metal parts have no rust or damage and the adjustments work smoothly. The body is near mint with no cracks or known repairs and t he sole looks flat and true with no gouging or scratching. Stanley No 29 planes in this condition are few and far between. This is a very desirable and collectible plane that is ready to go to work . Please check our other listings on eBay. We ship within 2 business days after payments are verified and received.
