Vintage / Antique paring or general purpose chisel all marked Crisply: DEFIANCE by STANLEY No. 1251 MADE IN U.S.A. As good as the Stanley 750's in my experience. Great set of users and near ready to get back to work for you. This is one Fine example of several chisels and gouges we have listed at this time. Due to a hectic summer schedule we are going to have all of our listings end on Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays was in the past, we have listed thru the week, and we will be listing as we are able. Some of our listings will only be 3 or 5 day auctions so please check frequently if you wish to see all that come thru. Our goal is reducing our stock of over 1,200 vintage/antique chisels and gouges plus all types of other tools. Why not try to combine to save money on shipping? Lengths: 9 5/16" to 8 1/2" and widths are 1", 3/4, 1/2" & 1/4". Steel is Fine with no pitting, the old High-Carbon material, great color, ready for a little flattening and your edge. If you are like me, I would handle this as due course anyway. Handles appear to be the originals and are Good to Fine. No splits or issues noted. The 1/4" has a letter A carved but will not interfere with use. An Excellent addition to anyones shop or workbench. Many more years of use await these!
