Vintage Welby Clock Company Starburst Sunburst Atomic Eames Era Black & Brass Wall ClockVery clean, classic-style, vintage 24-spoke black and brass Welby Clock Company starburst wall clock from circa 1960. Not a modern reproduction. 12 heavy-gauge brass finished steel spike spokes. 12 steel, flat-black finished ball end spokes. It measures a huge 25 inches from tip-to-tip, 7 inches across the face. All steel construction, no plastic. Very-nice vintage condition. The brass spokes look great, no bends or kinks with just minor patina. Near-flawless vintage spun-brass face with factory-black graphics. Perfect vintage-style red hands with a black seconds hand. No rust or battery corrosion. Very nice. You don't see these in brass very often.The clock works perfectly and keeps perfect time. The vintage mechanism has been replaced with a brand-new modern quartz mechanism so it runs accurately and is completely silent. A new battery is included but not installed so the hands don't get jammed.
