VINTAGE STEIFF "COCO" BABOON 10cm (4") TALL 17cm (6.5") LONG MOHAIR MONKEY This cute Steiff animal is Coco the Baboon, in the 10 cm size and modeled in the standing position. This Coco measures 10 cm (4") tall and 17 cm (6.5") long from head to tail, and is of early 1960's vintage. Coco is made of tan colored mohair, except for the face, ears, hands, feet, and bum, which are made of felt. The face and ears have the intricate airbrushed detail that makes Steiff products so great. His eyes are a pale green, the hands & feet are blueish-grey, and his bum is red. He has his original red collar, which has very slight wear at the edges. The head turns from side-to-side and the tail can be bent into various positions. He is missing his Steiff button and flag, but you can see a faint hole in his left ear where the button used to be. Unfortunately, his chest name tag is also missing. Overall, this guy is in excellent vintage condition, and would make a great addition to your Steiff collection or a great start for those of you that are new to Steiff. Coco comes from a non-smoking household.
