This big cat is LEO LION Lying is about 18"long from foot to tail. I bought him at an auction and the description listed him as vintage Steiff without button or tag. I do not know why he has a crown on his head. I think he might have been a display piece in a store and was glued to something since there are purple remnants of some thing on his paws and butt. Leo Lion is made from short light brown/yellow mohair plush for his body, & longer tipped tawny dark brown mohair for his mane & tail tuft. He has amber brown GLASS eyes & a pink stitched nose. He is unjointed and in the lying position. He is in good pre-owned condition (except as noted above) with no missing plush, no fading. He is really quite nice except for the crown and glue remnants. The crown seems to be glued on.Look at pictures. He is being sold AS IS.
