This it a great vintage toy. I bought this at auction years ago. I don't know much about steiff toys, I just love elephants. This is a very old toy. There is a lot of ware. I tried to take pictures of everything. I just noticed that on the first picture there is a gray fuzzy on the back, that is not a stain. I think the serial number is 6022.00, it is very hard to read because the tag is so old and worn. There is a tiny hole on the left front leg. It is missing the bell on the left side. He is faded his left side tusk needs to be repaired. His right front leg has a stain and the saddle on that side. There is a small stain on the left side of his head. There is a small stain on the back around the bottom of its right foot. These are all the things that I noticed. This is a very old toy.
