Up for auction is a wonderful old wooden Steinbach music box. It features Mary looking down at the Baby Jesus in the manger. T are six adorable angels - two hold the arch over Mary and four are playing musical instruments. All of the parts are made of wood. T are tiny chips of paint - particularly from the angels' hair. As you can see in the 8th picture, the wooden base is pulling apart slightly, but could easily be reglued. It does show some wear as to be expected with an old music box like this. This music box revolves and plays Silent Night (Stille Nacht). T is a wind up key and a lever that turns the music off and on. It works and sounds beautiful! It stands 8 inches tall and the octogonal wooden base is about 5 inches across. This music box would be a wonderful addition to a music box or angel collector and would be a wonderful Christmas item.
