one of America's largest banksBank of America Its beginnings were in Italy in the late 1920’s. Amadeo Giannini was instrumental in merging the Bank of Italy with the Los Angeles based Bank of America and the merger produced the: Bank of America National Trust and Savings Association This USS Portsmouth pictured on the front was the bank’s logo for many decades. It has a new logo now and Bank of America today remains a giant, but is not without its problems in this time of crisis and the American banking debacle. The charm is marked sterling with a makers mark on the back and measures 9/16” in diameter. It has a beautiful raised relief design and the patina is superb.
