BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE LARGE LOT OF STERLING SILVER FLATWARE, PLATERS, TRAYS, CANDLE HOLDERS "SCRAP OR USE" MIX LOT. VERY NICE VINTAGE PIECES. (86 PIECES, WEIGHING APPROXIMATELY 229.9 OUNCES) @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ This antique vintage sterling silverware mix lot is from my Grandfathers & Grandmothers estate. Lot contains numerous and various pieces. T are a total of 86 pieces, weighing 229.9 ounces, I believe this would be over 7 pounds. 1924 Towle Flatware set contains 15 spoons, 3 soup spoons, 4 teaspoons, 7 forks, 5 salad forks, 8 knives, 2 lobster forks, 4 condiment spoons, 1 large serving spoon, 1 large knife sharpener, 1 large serving knife and 1 large serving fork. All pieces marked sterling except for the 3 serving utensils, they are marked community and the handles are sterling silver. Tableware consist of 2 large candle holders "PS Co. sterling weighted", 1 large serving dish W/ lid "marked Wilcox", 1 gravy server W/ tray "PS Co. not marked sterling", 1 large serving bowl "PS Co. not marked sterling", 1 large serving bowl "unmarked", 1 large serving bowl "unmarked", 2 napkin holders "marked sterling", 1 large pie server handle is "marked sterling & S.Kirt &Son", 1 large serving spoon "marked P. Wallace not marked sterling", 1 large cake cutter W/ sterling handle, 1 pair of tongs "marked Rainmond silver plate", 1 gravy spoon "marked Par Plate", 1 large serving fork W/ sterling handle, 1 large serving fork "marked sterling", 2 decarative spoons "marked national silver Co". , 4 small relish forks "marked Holms & Edwards", 3 codiment forks "marked Reed & Barton", 1 misc. dinner knife "unmarked" and 8 misc. spoons 1 marked Holms & Edwards 2 marked WM Rogers 1 marked Alvin Sterling, 1 marked sterling and the last 3 are alike and marked sterling. As I stated above I know nothing about sterling silver and have done the best I can on describing all the pieces to you, as far as the unmarked pieces I have no idea if they are sterling silver, they appear to be sterling silver but may only be silver plate, I honestly do not know. I can tell you that all the pieces are in very nice vintage condition except for a 2 of the misc. spoons they have some dings. I also noticed the handle to the pie server is loose, however the handle on this piece is beautiful. Overall weight of all 86 pieces marked & unmarked is approximately 229.9 ounces. Auction includes blue felt-lined, lit top wooden flatware chest and two tarnish proof flatware bags, However chest shows ware and so does the tarnish bags.
