Up for auction is a beautiful set of 7 vintage sterling silver soda- straw spoons. Each soda-straw spoon is about 7 and ½ inches long and in nice condition. Every spoon back is marked "STERLING 925 APB TAXCO". The spoon bowl resembles a leaf with a vine rapped around the straw handle. Very unusual and collectible, probably hand made. When I got them they were "black as coal", and I polished them order to see the markings more clearly and to be sure that t were no major problems. All are in nice vintage condition. The history of Taxco, Mexico, as a center for beauty and craftsmanship is silver design, is well known. Prominent designers in Taxco were William Spratling, the Castillo brothers, Antonio Pineda, Hector Aguilar & Salvador Teran. These and many other famious Taxco designers have produced some of the most highly regarded, collectible silver jewelry & serving pieces. Please see pictures below.
