Welcome to Antiques & Moore!
This listing is for a lovely vintage early 20th Century Sterling Silver 5-piece tea service including a teapot, coffee pot, covered sugar, creamer and matching large tray. The pattern is a classic paneled swirl design with clean lines and each piece sits on four raised shell shaped feet and the set weighs almost 120 ounces of 925 silver. Each piece is stamped "Sterling" with a stamped mark of a standing lion facing left which is a maker's mark I cannot identify for you. Tray: 20 3/4" long, 14" wide and weighing 43.2 ounces Coffee Pot: 11 1/4" high, 9 1/2" wide, 5 1/4" body diameter and weighing 28.1 ounces Teapot: 8 1/2" high, 9 1/2" wide, 5 3/4" body diameter and weighing 20.6 ounces Covered Sugar: 6 1/4" high, 5 3/4" wide, 3 1/2" top diameter and weighing 11.1 ounces Creamer: 5 1/2" high, 5" wide and weighing 6.9 ounces This set is very clean and in excellent condition. The only flaws I have found are extremely minor but mentioned for accuracy and include a pin-point ding on the coffee pot, a tiny scratch and pin-point ding on the teapot, a very tiny indention on the creamer and a tiny scratch on the sugar with a small bend on the inside rim. None of these are noticeable except on close inspection and certainly do not detract from the beauty of this set. If I have overlooked any other flaw, it will be extremely minor as these are the only things I have found. The tray is not engraved and has the usual fine scratches caused by normal use otherwise it too is in great condition. We are not silver specialty dealers, however, we have been buying some nice silver for the past 10-15 years. We are currently listing several RARE and highly collectible pieces of early silver as well as coin silver from our personal collection so please check our other listings and our eBay Store. We at Antiques & Moore have been in the Antiques business for over 30 years and try to describe our items as accurately as possible. We are happy to answer any questions and always appreciate your business!
