This saddle was a great one in its day. all the conchos are solid sterling.. (not silver plate). the HUGE horn with the horn cap is also sterling with a Bronze horse head.. on the back of the Cantle is a huge sterling piece with the initials of a previous owner.. This saddle has a slick fork and HUGE HUGE California Style horn on it.. even the fenders have the leather pieces underneath that were hand carved.. something saddle makers don't do today A Custom ROSE carving all over this saddle and sturrips.. .. this saddle was quality thru and thru. t are two conchos missing on the either side of the back.. but I might be able to find some that match by the time this saddles ends.. so will start looking for you.. . The saddle is Marked Al Nolte. SanFrancisco California.. Seat Size is a 12" but I ride in a 16 and can fit in this one just fine... This is the kind we all want sitting in our western rooms .. showcased.. .. it is a looker.. and awesome hand made saddle. Leather needs to be oiled.. but this saddle can be used again ..and as you can tell has very little use on it to begin with . real sheep skin appears to be orginal and in great IN TACK condition also.. email me if you would like more pictures of this great saddle..
