For sale is a lovely quality English powder compact in solid silver fully hallmarked and dated 1941. Made from silver with an engine turned pattern on both sides, the cartouche has been engraved with the name Elizabeth. Inside lid is a good quality clear framed mirror, powder puff and sifter. Inside powder well is fully hallmarked Deakin & Francis, Birmingham, Lion and date letter R for 1941. Overall condition is excellent but there is a slight dent to the back on edge. Clasp shuts down nicely. Measures approx 2 3/4 inches square.
