Vintage Sterling Silver Faceted Garnet Drop Earrings NR

Up for auction is a vintage pair of earrings for pierced ears. Made of unmarked/tested sterling grade silver -- chased sheet and wire materials with drops of faceted deep red colored stones registering as garnet on a Presidium Gem Tester. A U.S. Quarter Dollar coin is placed above the pair in Pic 5 to help you visualize their overall size. I would describe them as petite sized drop style earrings being only 8mm wide (the size of the silver discs and garnet balls) and from the top of the earring to the bottom silver solder bead stop they measure 1 1/8" long and have a combined weight of 2.6g on a digital scale prior to packing. These have long open backs and once they are threaded though the piercing, the earrings have a nice hang to them with a superior quick and easy swing type movement. Handcrafted with a rustica appeal -- not primitive but not casual either, somew between the two, they are totally darling and most appropriate for daywear/office and I would think equally happy being out and about at night :)! The drop portions are roundish facet cut natural garnets stones, highly polished with innt nipping along some edges and held in place by tiny 1mm round silver solder beads their bottoms. These earwires have superficial bending, nothing gross, just important to mention and wear well just as they are yet may be adjusted manually or by hand. Not new but I find their naive construction and simplistic design extraordinary! Please refer to photos for your take on age, style and condition. I'd guess them late 70s-80s, probably studio made and in very good vintage condition as is, uncleaned with a perfectly developed patina, pretty!
