Winter Time is !!! Yes I do combine Shipping!! Up for bid is this Vintage Solid Sterling Silver Filigree, Filagree & PATENT LEATHER Show Halter & Matching Lead!! What a rare find! Perfect for those FOUNDATION HORSE Shows! Not many of them left in this kind of condition with very little wear! Sterling Silver Hand Cut and Engraved by famous maker MONROY, and is maker marked MONROY, STERLING, Mexico and has the Eagle 186 Registry mark. Monroy Silversmiths were from Taxco, Mexico. I believe this Halter set to be from the late 60's or early 70's as Monroy started in the equestrian market in the late 60's. This Filagree is made similar to the styles of the Vogt Filigree from the 70's and 80's. What an example of the craftsmanship that came out of Mexico over the years. Unfortunately, large companies are moving the silversmithing trade to other lower labor cost countries and the trade is slowly but surely becoming lost! The Patent Leather Halter is marked with the CONGRESS LEATHER emblem! It has the Matching Patent Leather lead that is also in great shape! Don't miss this outstanding Vintage Sterling Silver Show Halter and Lead set. Five Way Adjustable & Full sized horse! The Halter measures, 10 1/2" across the nose, 8 3/4" down each cheek, 16 1/2" from tip to tip of crown!Outstanding piece of history with High End Sterling selling at NO
