Vintage Smooth Beautifully Made Sterling Silver Cigarette Case manufactured by George L. Paine & Company (primarily a manufacturer of gold and gold filled items) of North Attleboro, Massachusetts. Case is very smooth and bright and has a pattern of 13 banded/grooved lightly engraved horizontal striations on front and back. Very nicely designed 1 1/2" diameter round shaped design with a double wavy line border with unengraved oval cartouche surrounded by a leafy hibiscus design on front. Continuous hinge. Very rich spun interior gold wash with ornate cigarette holder arm. T is a small hard to notice 1/16" indentation on the lower front of this case and some very minor superficial polish/use hairline scratches that are hard to notice. Has markings including "STERLING G.L.P. CO.". The dimensions are 4 3/16" x 3 3/16" x 3/8" and it weighs 103 grams (3.6 ounces). Very nice case...ready to engrave.
