Antique Sterling Jug You are bidding on a gorgeous antique bowl/jug/urn/vase. The piece is made of 0.925 Sterling Silver. The interior shows that it is hammered silver with a polished exterior. It has (3) cast silver (I think they are silver) feet on the bottom, and (2) cast handles on the sides. The handles look like they are either serpents or seahorse, and the feet look a bit more like serpents. It measures about 5 3/8" tall at the handles, and about 6 1/4" wide at the middle. It weighs a total of 10.1oz (287 grams). The bottom of the piece is stamped 0.925, and has a circle manufacture logo stamp. The logo was double-stamped so is pretty hard to read. I think it says Equatorianas Platerios. I think Equatorianas means Ecuadorian, but I am now near certain. The piece is in very good condition. The body does have scuffing, a couple small dings and a crescent dent (about 1 1.2" long), along with normal light wear. It has no major damage to detract from the beauty of the piece. Assuming the entire piece is sterling, the silver content alone is worth around $150. This auction has NO RESERVE! If the correct shipping is the lower amount, a credit or correction will be issued after the close of auction. Buyer pays $7.50 USPS Priority Mail for shipments within the US (shipping to Alaska may be higher, so please contact us for rate quote prior to bidding). Please e-mail for rates outside the US. We will gladly combine shipping when possible. As always, local pickup is free. Insurance is STRONGLY recommended but optional. Insurance rate will be based on final value of auction. Buyer declines insurance at own risk, and iSell Hawaii will not be responsible for any damage or non-delivery. NOTE: We are closed on Mondays, so questions sent from late Sunday to Monday will not be answered until Tuesday at the earliest, and items paid for Saturday to Monday will not be shipped until Tuesday or Wednesday.
