Nice patina on this old World Globe charm from the 1940's. T is some tarnish as well which I will leave for you to clean or not as you wish! No hallmarks, but acid tests positive for sterling. Many have a wonderful patina developed over time which I believe adds to their appeal. Some have a Rhodium finish, which does not mean they are new, older charms sometimes have it as well although Rhodium use was diminished during WWII. I do not clean any of my charms... I leave them in the condition in which I find them as I think they are more special that way. You are then able to shine them up or not, depending on how you like them. Insurance will be based on value at end of the auctions and is sometimes but not always required. I describe all items as best and honestly as I can with all the knowledge I have available to me.
