Vintage Stewart B McCulloch Oriental Man Lady Figurines

we have a fabulous pair of Stewart B. McCulloch figures from an estate - an Asian/Oriental man and woman. They date to the 1940's or 1950's. They measure over 14 inches tall and 4 1/4 inches in diameter at the base. They are beautifully hand painted in yellow, green, black, and beige. The man is heavier in weight than the woman. These figures are wonderful display pieces just as they are, but they would also make way-cool lamp bases. These figures have an impressed mark on their base which looks like handwriting. The man's mark is © Stewart B. McCulloch 2621 Authentic California. T is also an impressed E and a black H. The woman's mark is the same except her number is 1820 (not sure about the 8) and she doesn't have the E. Both figures have normal clear glaze crazing from age. The woman has a few long lines of darker crazing. The woman has what I think is a glaze miss (a white spot) on her hair in the back. This could be colored in with a black marker if it bothers you but I don't think it will. Overall condition is excellent and clean. I believe these delightful figures are quite hard to find - especially in a matched pair. Nice large size, striking form, wonderful colors and painted details -- they will definitely be a standout in your collection! Winner pays shipping fee based on destination, plus the insurance fee.
