Beautiful Vintage Stiffel Brass Bouillotte 3 Column and 3 Way Lamp with Adjustable Height and Original Shade
Beautiful Vintage Stiffel Brass Bouillotte 3-Column Lamp with Original Stiffel ShadeStiffel high quality brass 3-column bouillotte lamp with adjustable height option for the shade, you can control the amount of light it emits. It has 3 columns so there are 3 bulbs, and the switch is 3 way so you can have one, two or all three lit at one time. The base is solid brass in what I would call a "lily pad" style with 6 fronds, that has a 1" base and the lily pads sit atop that at 1 1/2" tall. The 3 brass "candles" are centered on each frond, and come up another 5", with a beautiful tulip finish, each candelabra having 6 fronds at the top of the brass (and the bottom of the ivory candelabra poles. The top of the poles is finished with another brass lip and the then the actual light bulb holders on each unit. All three candelabras are attached by a single central brass rod, that connects them at the base of the bulb holder. The accordion shade is original to the lamp. It is off-white, with precision accordion pleating in a slight A-Line shape, with beautiful rolled edges piped in golden threads, two rows each on the top and bottom of the shade...exquisite. The shade is in near perfect condition, and measures 7" tall and 11" diameter at the top, gracefully going to 14" diameter at the bottom. Height to the top of the ornate brass finial is 27". This is from the estate of one of my dearest friends, of which I am helping to liquidate. It is from the 1950's to early 1960's, the family cannot remember exactly when their Mother purchased it.It has been extremely well taken care of, as there are no scratches or nicks or marks anywhere, and everything is in perfect working order. The brass appears to have a very slight patina to it, and I am going to leave that alone, as I find it to be beautiful. Lamp works beautifully in all 3 modes, and can light up a room very nicely for reading, or set a romantic mood by being dimmed. The last three pictures show the lamp turned on in the 3 modes...from 1 to 2 to 3. It is exquisite. The lamp is very heavy weighing close to 11 pounds, for shipping purposes. It might be best to ship this UPS and have them pack it too, which I will be happy to do if someone would like that. Buyers may pay by PayPal only. International buyers by PayPal only. Please note that if I can save you money on your shipping, I will, and in turn refund to you any unused shipping fees, should there be any. Books can be mailed using Media Mail at a greatly discounted rate. On heavier items that do NOT fit in a Large Flat Rate box I will need to use regular Priority Mail with calculated weight.I will treat each shipment with the utmost care and consideration of your money being spent at the best value I can give you.Ebay NO longer allows insurance as an option. It is now solely up to the Seller to insure items. With the high cost of purchasing insurance (along with the higher cost of eBay's listing and final value fees)I can no longer afford to provide/include insurance on items. The only option I have is to charge a "Handling" fee when an item is "breakable". If an item purchased is "breakable", what I will do as a courtesy and protection to the Buyer and myself, is add a "Handling" fee to cover the insurance cost, and I will split the actual cost of the insurance with you the Buyer, as a courtesy. At the time of invoicing I will give you the best options I can for shipping, and should you pay before I invoice you and the cost of actual shipping is less, please remember...
