This is a very special, very limited edition Schwinn Bicycle and will not last very long!

This is the Schwinn Edition, "Fat Tire" bicycle. While the estimates vary, t were perhaps 800 of these built and that is all that will ever be built for this edition. The bike is promoting New Belgium Ale and specifically, their Fat Tire brand. The bike is not available through any dealer and in the past have been limited to auctions, charities or the employees themselves.

It is believed that this is the first year Schwinn has produced the bike for New Belgium Ale. That said, let me tell you a bit more about the bike itself:

It is a 2009 Special Limited Edition Cruiser. It has the wider tires and handlebar and is built for comfort. A spring loaded front fork helps you navigate bumps in the road. A single speed bike means no fussing wiith gears or cables. It has a very vintage look complete with frame mounted "tank" that includes a horn as well as a front fender light.

This bike is brand new and has never been ridden. The owners manual is still attached to the front handlebar and and the Fat Tire flag flies proudly from the rear wheel mounted assembly. It also has a luggage carrier (rack style) on the rear fender.

A beautful, deep crimson red, it is sure to turn heads. The bike is large, fully assembled and ready to ride. I am in Chicago, so local pick up is suggested. I can also ship (heavy and large box) via UPS, but figure your shipping costs will be around $90 or so. (I will charge only actual shipping cost).

Again, very limited edition and surely will not last long. You can't get them in the store so please, bid on my auction and get yours right now. The starting bid is less than half the suggested retail price of the bike, but given it's collectibility, that price will likely go up!
