THE COMIC WEEKLY 1941 THE COMIC WEEKLY was included with the Sunday edition of the DETROIT NEWS . The Comic Weekly had between 16 and 20 pages on average each week depending on the number of ads and comics in each section. The Comics had the same dimensions as the newspaper itself measuring 21 1/4âe x 15 1/2âe. They are between 2 1/2âe - 3âe. This is a bound volume of the entire 1941 year of comics. Since this was a weekly, t must be well over 900 pages. Heavy paper covers were used to protect the bound volume. CONDITION: The 2 covers are still on but the front cover shows a little moisture problem - the cover no doubt saved the first several issues. The cover shows stains and moisture warping. The First issue, Jan. 5 shows some remnants of moisture - a little wrinkling, staining, edge raggedness and a little more edge foxing. The 2nd and 3rd issues show less and less moisture effects. By the 4th issue the comics section are in nice normal condition. The final issue also has some more staining and edge tears. The rest of the volume is in quite nice normal condition. They were bound with a heavy string at 11 or 12 positions.
