Up for auction is a vintage Sunshine coffee jar dating back to the 1930's. The front is embossed with a design of a lion pushing a sun and reads SUNSHINE BRAND. Below the design it reads

COFFEE

VACUUM PACKED

CONTENTS ONE POUND

SPRINGFIELD GROCER CO.

ROASTERS AND PACKERS

SPRINGFIELD, MO.

C 1592

The porcelain insert in the zinc lid reads "GENUINE BOYD'S CAP FOR MASON JAR 22" The jar is in excellent condition except for two chips around the rim that are not visible when the lid is on. It measures 7" tall.

This would make a great addition to a vintage kitchen. I used it for years to store coffee and it looked great sitting on the counter. Now I'm downsizing and hope someone else will enjoy it. Please email if you have any questions.
