Antique Leather surgeons bag with a large array of medical instruments and tools including clamps, scalpels, metal and glass syringes. Belonged to Robert F. Hovey M.D., a Homeopathic Surgeon from Springfield, Mass who practiced surgery in Springfield from the late 1900 through around 1920. His office was at the St. James, Corner of State and Oak Streets, Springfield Mass. Dr. Hovey graduated M.D. from the New York Homeopathic College in 1897.
