you have a very nice vintage Brunson transit and tripod. Model # 50. Discovered during the clean out of a local Philadelphia estate. Appears to be U.S. Government / Military. Stock number: 8TAA - 906000 AF 33 (604) 8291. Also marked: 3 1/2" - 8 . Transit measures about 17" tall. Includes wooden storage box. Marked on exterior of box: 8TAA USA 33(600) 33867-12168 . Wooden tripod measures about 60" when extended. Marked on round metal platform base of tripod: " Brunson 3 1/2" - 8 Threads ". All the levels function. Compass works. Overall, very good condition. Patina and wear consistent with age and use. Ideal for the collector. Will ship in to any city in lower 48 states. NO RESERVE. Thanks for looking!
