Up for auction we have a very beautiful vintage Swiss Cylinder wood Marquetry Music Box. Measures approx 16 1/2" x 6" x 4". Nice condition, lite ware on wood but will polish up nicely. this piece has a wood lid opens up to a glass lid, glass lid opens to mechanisms. Has three keys, two to lock wood lid the other is for winding up music. I have tested this and it seems to work but gets stuck then starts up again, I am not a music box expert, so unsure why this happens. All the teeth in comb are t, has five cylinders and is beautiful and clean inside. Marked Switzerland Thorens. Has sticker on inside lid reads, Rita Ford inc. antique music boxes bought sold repaired 812 Madison Ave.at 68th st. N.Y. 10021.
