You are bidding on a very old tabletop Florence brand cast iron smelter kerosene oil light lamp stove burner. Used not only for light but to put kettles or pots on to boil water. Great for camping or hunting lodge.Shield is dented and worn may be best to replace. No wick included. Shows some wear overall from age,usage and storage. As shown in pic lift lid to fill. Great collectible! This is also called a Sad-Iron (flat-iron) heater. It had one real purpose in life and that was to heat the old clothes irons for housewives to press the family laundry. The idea of the very large wicks was to heat and re-heat the clothes irons quickly with a large amount of heat in a small area. These heaters were made with 1,2, and 3 burners. This heater would handle 1 iron at a time. When electricity was introduced into homes, the electric iron took over. Since I am not an expert, I gave you the description to the best of my ability and will answer any email questions, as best I can.
