Offered for sale is this vintage 12" Talking GI Joe Action Soldier from the mid-late 1960's that is in good condition and is still working (talking). This figure has the softer head, and the imprint on the behind says: "GI Joe, Copyright 1964, By Hasbro, Pat. No. 3,277,602, Made in USA". I am the original owner of this GI Joe action figure. All the joints work properly, and all the limbs are intact; but the left shoulder joint is a bit looser than the right shoulder joint. Also, the leg/hip joints are a bit looser than the other joints, but they can still hold the figure in a standing position (see pictures for details). There is also an approx. 3/4" long hairline crack on the front of the right knee joint, and an approx. 3/8" long crack on the back of the right knee joint (see pictures for details). The body has the expected scratches and scuffs from being played with years ago. Also, there is some brown hair paint missing from the front of the head, and a little bit is also missing from the from the right eyebrow (see pictures for details). The face appears to be a bit dirty as well. The Dog Tag that pulls the string for the figure to talk is still present. After repeated pulling of the string, I heard all 8 talking commands.
