History: This Nakamichi has not been used for a few years. In It's day it was one of the most special tape decks on the market. Probably one of THE first tape decks in history to introduce a remote. Of course they hadn't yet figured out Infra Red so this remote actually has a cable attaching it to the machine! Very cool and I was delighted to get it out again the other day. I made me chuckle and appreciate how hard we have all been working at moving technology forward. Specs and Condition: Cosmetically this Nakamichi has been stored in the original box for years so looks basically like new. Perfect condition!!! Not here. It's an auction and there is no reserve!! I cranked it up some time ago and ended up buying the full replacement belt kit from the USA. I have replaced one belt and it runs better. I was listening to it the other night and I gotta say it played all my tapes absolutely fine. There was a little bit of a sluggish start occasionally but all in all fine.
