The influence of Los Castillo can be seen in the design of this breathtaking early Vintage Mexican Silver & Blue Art Glass Bracelet ~ the Los Castillo Taller was one of the first to use art glass in their jewelry combining it with silver repousse. This bracelet shows the same attention to detail and fine construction with it's ornate silver work and beautiful color stones. The links feature a fancy swirl design, the glass "Stones" are set in silver bezels and the links have silver backs. The bracelet measures 7 1/2" long by 1 1/4" wide and it weighs a hefty 57.3 grams. Hallmarked "Margarita, Sterling, Taxco" with the design number 157, it dates from the 1940's and is in good original vintage condition with no signs of damage or repair ~ only minor signs of wear and a bit of tarnish ~ and all the glass stones are chip/crack free and tight in their settings. The decorative push in clasp keeps securely shut and there is an attached safety chain for added security. This is a gorgeous bracelet by a noted designer and a fabulous find for the collector of fine Vintage Sterling Silver Jewelry.
