VINTAGE SILVER & GREEN ONYX BRACELET I have lots of listings to do....I've been estate sale shopping again!! This auction is for a wonderful silver bracelet with alternating green onyx stones of rectangles and carved faces. It is a very comfortable bracelet (of course I had to test drive it before listing it!!!). The bracelet measures 7.5 inches, excluding the clasp tongue - which is hallmarked Silver. The width is one inch. T are four rectangles of green onyx that are bezel set and with carved slashes, they have twisted silver wire running through the recesses. These rectangles measure 1 inch x .75 inch. T are four carved faces - fabulous!! They are bezel set with twisted wire around the base of the bezel. The faces rest on a bed of domes - 6 in all. The faces measure just under an inch by half an inch at the head. The faces are hinged with the rectangles. It appears the hinges have steel rods as one of them has cause a little corrosion on one of the faces. This can easily be buffed away. I suspect this is from Mexico in the late 40's early 50's.
