DESCRIPTION: Offered for auction is a beautiful, vintage, signed Pedro Castillo pre-Eagle bracelet. The circle around Sr. Castillo's signature is appropriate- Hecho En Mexico Taxco, all in block lettering and capitalized. No mention is made of the silver content. Have to say, as with the necklace I listed yesterday, this may have a higher silver content than 925. T is the appropriate patina, and dark areas around the holes that connect the links and in some of the crevices w the polish did not reach . I have cleaned this piece on rare occasions- not recently-- doesn't tarnish very fast. When I purchased it years ago, the niello finish was worn, as you see it now. It has been stored with the silica chip packets found in shoe boxes and handbags. The designs on the two pieces (I have also listed a necklace) are mirror images of each other, but make no mistake, they ARE the same design-- one cut out, one solid. I purchased them separately- years apart, which is why I am selling them separately. The small oval inks conneccting the five major and four spacer links are silver soldered together. The tongue-in- groove clasp is original and is in excellent working order. Technical Information: The bracelet weighs 48 g (1.7 oz.) and is 7 1/2 inches ( 19 cm) long (wearable length). Difficult to measure due to the curves of the 5 main links. read more
