Vintage telegraph fire alarm call box, wind-up. This is the internal box of the free-standing street fire alarm box. Not sure if it works, but does need a good cleaning. It doesn't look like it was repainted, but not sure. A key is not needed, there is no lock. It has the last sign-in card from the fire departments, which states Ladder 129. I believe it's from Flushing Queens, N.Y. The measurements are 8" wide (about 8 5/8" wide with the hinges and the door latch) x 10 5/8" high x 4 1/4" deep (about 5 5/16" deep with the hinges) . The telegraph states Brown Bros. Mfg. Corp., and the inside of the door states Acme Alum FDRY Chicago.
