THOMPSON OVERSIZE Fountain Pen NO RESERVE AUCTION !! Offered is a Vintage THOMPSON OVERSIZE Fountain Pen in Elegant looking Rosewood w/ a large 7/16" wide 14k Gold Filled cap band. It has a "THOMPSON" "PEN" "8" Gold Plated Nib. The irridium point of the nib has been ground away. (see pictures) The Pen measures 6-5/8" with cap posted on a 17/32" diameter barrel and 5-3/16" long with cap on nib. Manufacturing Markings are on the Cap Clip and Filler Lever. The finish of both clip and lever are in great shape. They both look as good as the Gold Filled cap band. (see pictures) The pen will need a new ink sac. The pressure bar is in tact and operating. Pen coloring is outstanding!! T no major scratches, chips or cracks on the cap or barrel. Cap mounts properly. This is a very impressive, eye catching, feels so good in hand, massive Fountain Pen !!! With the original nib retipped or a substitute nib installed this pen would be outstanding to write with and a impressive pen in any collection!!!!! Take a look at my other PENS being offered!
