Vintage Thorens music box with 52 notes in perfect working order. All 4 songs sound beautiful and play through without a hitch. The button on front slides allowing you to automatically shut off at the end of a song (if you choose to do that. Otherwise it plays on through until it needs to be rewound again). Definitely produiced in the 1940s through 1960s period. Beautiful 2 wood design. Appears to be highly polished Maple or Birch with Brazillian Rosewood top surface and bottom edges. Creates a wonderfully eye catching contrast together. The 4 songs are all beautiful classical pieces you will probably recognize immediately and are each typed on the piece of paper as shown (original). They are: Mozart's Drawing RoomBlue Danube WaltzSerenade by SchubertTales of Vienna Woods Waltz Music projects clearly and resonates wonderfully. Very pleasant and relaxing and a perfect way to send a child off to sleep. The Box measures 7 1/2" x 4" x 2 1/2" overall. Would make a beautiful keepsake for anyone.. Just to clarify when looking at photos. The photos taken with a wood floor background are more indicative of the color you will see when it arrives. The camera flash tended to bleach out the image in some photos. The maple/birch wood color is more of a naturally warm, light yellow tone than some photos would otherwise indicate.
