Up for auction here is a vintage tin litho friction Cragstan United Airlines airplane made in Japan. The model is a Boeing 727 Mainliner. It is marked #N727IU. This vintage Cragstan plane is Battery Operated requiring 1.5 Volts and has a friction motor that rolls the plane. It has a loud takeoff-sounding noise to it. On and off switch for the model is on one of the wings. Turn on the switch and the sound comes on, the plane moves forward, lights go on, and the passengers' heads can be seen in the windows. Eventually, the plane's door opens and a flight attendant appears at the door waving and the passengers' heads and faces disappear from the windows. It is a real neat vintage toy! The vintage Cragstan plane is in good working condition but a couple things to note: it is missing its front wheel and it does have minor surface dents on wings and underside of the back wing. I would think they could be repaired and I think you can see most of these in the photos. The original paint is still very nice but as expected it does have some surface wear because of its age and use. The Cragstan airliner has a 21 inch wingspan and 24 inch long body. If you have any questions on this vintage toy, please contact me through eBay. Thanks for looking!
