Vintage Tin Cub Oil Wilhelm Reading PA bear Description - Nice little old empty linseed oil tin with graphic s of a little cub peeping over the CUB sign. "BOILED LINSEED OIL, The A. Wilhelm Company, Reading, Penna ." Size approx. 4 3/4" x 2 1/8". Originally held 4 oz. Has other usage & gov't spec info on the sides. Some little dings & some linseed oil stains, but overall would still display nicely. I could only find one of these listed - for $125 - and it said was packaged for Piper Cub, but the "cub logo" does not appear to be the same to me. Only background I could find is - A. Wilhelm Co. was located at 3rd. & Bern St. Reading, PA. I found mentions of the company from as far back as 1903, but otherwise I could not find the beginning / closing dates for the company.
