You are looking at a scarce Mr. Sandman Robot. He stands 11.5" tall tin litho with movable wood arms and legs. Elaborately designed set by Wolverine, c. 1950. The Robot's mid-section serves as a sand pail and has a lid which serves as a sieve. The removable head sprinkling can with ears serving as handles can be used to pour water or sand. Side designs include girders with rivets, back includes images of a hose vent and electrical outlet with switch. Cup feet can be used as sand molds. He is in overall excellent condition. A very Striking design. This is a BIGTIME conversation piece in any space toy collection. I found one that sold at Hakes Auction a few years ago for over $1,300 dollars. My reserve is not close to that. Good Luck, this one only comes around every now and then.
