This listing is for a vintage custom made titanium dropped track handlebar stem. Made by legendary custom parts maker, the late Pino Morroni, for Eddy Merckx's hour record attempt. Pino was contracted to make many custom titanium parts for Eddy's famous orange track bike. Pino made several stems of different sizes and this is one of them. It was actually mounted in Eddy's bike for training purposes. Pino gave me this stem before he died. This stem belongs in someone's collection. It is 10cm, 22.2 Quill and 26 Clamp size. It weighs 135 grams. Comes complete with the bolts. As you can see in the photos, t are holes through the stem that are actually tubing which was a Pino patent that stiffened the stem. He also used this technique in superlight frames. Vintage bicycle parts are exactly that. They are old - whether new or used. Unlike fine wine or cheese, they do not improve with age. Bicycle parts are not stored in climate controlled rooms or vaults. They were never works of art. They were practical, usable items. They can have dust, dirt, bugs, oxidation, etc. If you have any questions, always ask. PayPal only auction. We ship fast via USPS within 48-hours of payment.
