You are viewing a very old Tower & Lyon corragated bottom plane that was produced under the patents granted to O.R. Chaplin. These planes were a failed attempt by the Tower & Lyon Company of New York to compete with the Stanley Rule & Level Company. While the competition wasn't good, these planes are very well built, high quality planes that brings good money today. This one is in very good condition, nice and clean. The only fault is some of the nickel plating is gone (see photo). The Indian Rubber Handles are in good condition, nice and solid. This plane measures 18" in length. Check out my other items !
