Vintage Towle's Log Cabin Syrup Tin Frontier Jail Can This is a Vintage Towle's Log Cabin Syrup Tin in the shape of a log cabin with the "Frontier Jail" scene. It is lithographed and has "Made of SUGAR AND MAPLE SUGAR SYRUPS, NET CONT. 12 FL OZ, NET WT. 1 LB ½ OZ, GENERAL FOODS CORP., HOBOKEN, N.J., MADE IN USA" on the front of it and measures 3 ¾" high by 3 ½" wide by 2 ½" deep. I have been unable to date it exactly but believe it dates from the 1940's to early 50's although it could be earlier as General Foods acquired the company in 1927. It is in exceptional condition with its original cap, has no rust, no wear, only a couple of very small insignificant scratches, seams and bottom are spotless and I do not see any dent or ding damage. The only things that I can see wrong with it are that the ends and cap are a little discolored from age (which is common to tins) and the top around the pour spout could possibly be pushed down a little but it is really hard to tell. If after you receive it and you are not pleased with it, I will cheerfully refund your money, minus shipping costs, of course. Shipment will be via USPS Priority Mail with 2 to 3 day delivery and shipments are normally made the same day cleared payment is received unless it is received late in the day. Thank you for looking and feel free to email me with any questions.
