This folk art Tree of Life 5-candle cangleholder was given to me by a friend who recently retired and moved from Austin. It was a part of her huge Mexican fork art collection which she collected over the last 40 years. She got it from the source in Mexico and watched the Mexican clay artisans who hand made, hand glazed and connected each piece one at a time to the body of the Tree. The colors are wonderful. In excellent condition. Now, I'm moving away too so this wonderful piece must find a new home. Dimensions: 23 by 20 . CONDITION : : Considering its age, the piece is in excellent condition. It has the usual âeoeimperfectionsâe as with any handmade folk art in that t are variations and rough areas. For instance no two leaves or flowers are identical in shape or color. This is what makes a piece unique. Slight chip on one leaf (see last pictrure. it's not the shadow you should look for, but the slight upward chip on the leaf which can be re-glued, but I'm not touching it) This art work has to be as very carefully packed just as it was put together by the artisan.
