The Kutch region is most important regions in India in the area of textile art. Kutch embroidery is dense with motifs and is one of the most beautiful forms of textile art. A variation with mirrors sewen into the embroidery is one of the signature arts of this region. This embroidery is done by the various tribes and sub tribes produces a unique form of art. An example of Kutch Embroidery - A vintage fragment. Fabric : Mixed Yarn- Cotton base fabric fragment. Work : Hand embroidered by the tribals in India by the use of the needle, mirror (glass), and cotton/rayon thread. The thread are cotton yarns and color combination are multi colors thread. Hand stitches are shown in the pics (uploaded). Color Variations : As per uploaded picture. Size : Approximate 47" X 23" inches Condition: Old and Vintage conditions. No Dust Free condition.
